Our approach

A more thoughtful kind of comfort.

Homes and businesses should feel good to be in. We help create comfortable, healthy and efficient indoor spaces through modern heating and cooling.

That starts with getting the most out of the system you already have. We repair before we replace, explain what we find in plain language, and only recommend new equipment when it is the better investment.

Repair & diagnostics

Not working the way it should?

Describe what you are noticing and we will find the cause, walk you through it, and recommend the right fix, starting with a repair whenever that makes sense.

  • Blowing cold air when the heat is on
  • Short-cycling, turning on and off
  • One room always too hot or too cold
  • New noises, smells or a bill that jumped
What guides us

Thoughtful climate solutions for the spaces we live in

  • Comfort

Even, quiet warmth and cooling in every room, not just near the thermostat.

  • Healthy environments

Clean, well-moving air through ductwork that is sealed and sized properly.

  • Energy efficiency

Systems matched to the home, so you are not paying to heat the attic.

  • Modern solutions

Heat pumps, high-efficiency furnaces and smart controls, when they make sense.

Kind words

From our clients

“The initial installer pressured me to replace the entire system rather than fixing the faulty coil, which was still under warranty. The technician accurately identified the issue, provided a clear explanation, and quoted a reasonable price for the repair.”

Eli K.

“I posted a request for help around 8 PM, and the owner responded in under ten minutes. They sent a technician out the very next morning, replaced the evaporator coil, and the issue was resolved!”

Daniel A.

“We hired Bay Air Heating & Cooling to install a new furnace on our family property in Marin. The installer was responsive, knowledgeable, and did an excellent job.”

Questions

Good to know

Do you repair systems, or only replace them?

We repair first whenever a repair makes sense. We will tell you what we found, what it costs to fix, and when replacing would actually save you money.

Where do you work?

San Francisco and Marin County, including Belvedere, Corte Madera, Mill Valley, Sausalito, Tiburon, Fairfax, Larkspur, Novato, San Anselmo, San Rafael, Ross.

What brands do you service and install?

All major brands, including Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Mitsubishi Electric, Daikin, Rheem, Ruud, York, Goodman and more.

Why is my heater blowing cold air?

Often it is the thermostat fan set to "on" instead of "auto", a clogged filter, or an ignition problem. If changing the filter and the fan setting does not fix it, book a visit.

How often should a furnace be serviced?

Once a year, ideally before the heating season. A yearly visit helps it last longer, run more efficiently and avoid mid-winter breakdowns.

Are you licensed?

Yes. Bay Air Heating & Cooling is licensed, bonded and insured, CSLB License C-20 #1156059.
